RECALL

RECALL is a short film shot using infrared and LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) cameras.

The film is an abstract representation of memory and trauma as they are relived through technology, set against sparse, empty desert landscapes and liminal environments. It explores the intersection of memory, violence, and the uncanny—where familiar spaces become fragmented and unstable.

The soundscape is created entirely from scratch using intercepted radio frequencies, static, and electromagnetic transmissions captured with transmitters. These recordings are combined with synthesis and electronic instruments to create an evolving, distorted sonic environment that mirrors the fragmented nature of memory.
